SMS integration
The SMS drives every activation, and the DRM must stay in sync with it.
- REST API for real-time activation and deactivation
- Entitlement and device export for monthly reconciliation
- Per-channel, à la carte and bouquet entitlements
Built for Schedule X of TRAI’s Interconnection (Addressable Systems) Regulations, 2017, as amended in 2023. Runs on-premise in your Indian data centre, synced with your SMS - and ready for your annual audit.
Since the Fifth Amendment of 14 September 2023, IPTV operators in India must use a DRM that meets Schedule X. It treats DRM as the IPTV equivalent of CAS and is verified in the distributor’s annual audit. Schedule X is complex, but it comes down to four areas.
Keys, licences, logs and subscriber data stay in your data centre. The SMS stays in charge, and devices talk only to your DRM.
Generated on demand for any date, independently of the SMS, and kept for at least three years. CSV via the Report API and in a read-only Web GUI.
One key and licence server for live and VOD - standalone with any packager and any CDN, or native inside the vxApps stack with vxOTT Gateway and vxTranscoder.
The same key and licence server that serves the IPTV head-end also protects OTT and VOD - without a cloud licence call per stream.
vxDRM Gateway runs standalone with any packager, or natively with the rest of the vxApps stack.
It’s in production - so we can show it live. Our engineers will map vxDRM Gateway to your SMS, head-end and device fleet.
