Four days of demos and conversations

We've been exhibiting at IBC for several years, and each edition brings fresh perspectives. This year, familiar faces and first-time visitors joined us to see the pipeline in action, ask detailed questions, and discuss the challenges shaping their workflows.

What we heard at the booth

A few questions came up again and again: How do you reduce latency without compromising quality? Avoid paying for bandwidth you don't use? Protect content without per-stream licensing fees? Or package hundreds of channels from a single rack?

These are the challenges the StreamVX stack is designed to address. At the booth, we showed how vxTranscoder, vxOTT Gateway, vxDRM Gateway, vxCDN Server, vxStatMux, and vxDAI Factory work together to tackle them without additional infrastructure.

Multilingual live subtitles at the DVB Stand

On day three, our CEO, Szymon Karbowski, took the stage at the DVB Stand to present StreamVX's approach to multilingual live subtitle delivery.

The session followed the subtitle workflow from native DVB-TTML ingest over SRT through real-time decoding and processing to HLS, DASH, and CMAF delivery with TTML or WebVTT subtitles. It covered support for writing systems including Arabic, Hebrew, Devanagari, and CJK, with language tags, styling, and timing preserved from contribution to delivery.

Szymon also outlined two deployment options: a full transcoder-and-packager pipeline and a lightweight packager-only setup that fits into existing infrastructure. He explained how the system keeps video running uninterrupted even if the subtitle input drops.
