Will there be a joint project between Paramount+ and Peacock?

Will there be a joint bid between the two big companies Paramount+ and Peacock (owned by Comcast)? According to recent media reports, there could be a joint project between the two giants in the near future. Could the giants return to 'old style' television?

Looking at the events of the last few months and the many moves made by the leaders of the streaming platforms, there are signs that the implementation of familiar solutions from so-called 'old TV' is already bearing fruit. Merging apps, adding advertising systems or sharing content are measures that almost all the leaders in video streaming are implementing.

The Wall Street Journal was the first to report that Paramount+ and Peacock (owned by Comcast) were thinking about creating a joint, individual streaming service. If Paramount Global were to create a joint project or venture with Comcast, the market would become even more interesting. This merger would not only provide viewers with compelling joint content, but also the most sought-after sports broadcasts. Will this merger happen? We will see. Paramount+ made a significant financial loss last year, some $238 million, despite the measures taken. Enriching content, not just original productions, is the solution for all video streaming platforms.

By combining multiple platforms into a single app, will the two brands finally catch up with Netflix, the undisputed market leader, which "won" precisely because of its diverse content from multiple studios? As far as I can remember, this is not the first attempt. Five companies have tried to create a similar project in the past: Hulu, Disney+21st Century Fox, Comcast and Time Warner.

All of the major streamers' actions, according to experts and commentators, reflect the future of old-style television. Will such projects force providers to rebuild cable TV from the ground up? Streaming video was supposed to make the old model of TV obsolete, and it seems to have only brought users more subscription fees.
