It used to be that HBO was the place to find interesting and well-made series and the best movies. In recent months, however, Apple TV+ has taken over. The latest series available on this platform are nothing short of brilliant.

Take, for example, Slow Horses, which is a mix of spy thriller and comedy. It's not just the bravura acting of Gary Oldman, who plays the role of a neglected man who leads a team of rejected spies, but also the well-written and dynamic storyline.

Already in 2019, it was thought that the Apple TV+ would become a giant among video streaming platforms. The last five years and the productions available on this platform confirm the hypotheses made at the time. Not only series and films, but also children's productions are of high quality and are becoming unrivaled. Of course, at first the content available on Apple TV+ was unsuccessful, boring and sometimes even "terrible". As a result, many more discerning viewers preferred to subscribe to Netflix or Disney+. The period of predictable and poorly executed productions ended in 2022, when Prehistoric Planet (a BBC series that tells the story of dinosaurs in an excellent way) and then Shape Island (a children's series about growing up and building self-esteem) premiered exclusively on Apple TV+.
Other fantastic productions on Apple TV+ include The Morning Show and Murderbot, starring Alexander Skarsgård as a 'human robot’.

If you look at the quality of content available on other video streaming platforms such as Netflix, Disney+ or Hulu, we as viewers have clearly felt the effects of the recent strikes by US actors and writers, and the smaller production budgets for series and films due to galloping inflation. Apple TV+ maintains quality and, most importantly, does not allow itself to disappoint its users. I wish we had only the best content on all video streaming platforms with only good content like Apple TV+.
